Notifications on your phone

BadawiTECH sends notifications with ntfy, a free app. The portal page Notifications on my devices shows the steps for the device you are using, the server address, your login and your topics.

Steps

Section titled “Steps”
  1. Install ntfy: Google Play, F-Droid or the App Store. On a computer, use the ntfy web app (the portal links it) and install it from the browser’s address bar.
  2. In the portal > Notifications on my devices, choose Show my login. It makes a new password for the app.
  3. In the app: Settings > Users (Manage users) > add one with the server https://notify.badawitech.com, the user name and the password from the portal.
  4. Subscribe to each topic the portal lists (for example “Just for me” and “My company”). On iPhone: tap +, paste the topic name, turn on “Use another server” and enter https://notify.badawitech.com.
  5. Choose Send a test notification in the portal. It should appear on every device you set up.
